Understanding Reiki and its Benefits

What is Reiki, exactly? You may have heard Reiki referred to as energy medicine, hands-on healing, laying-on hands, or simply as energy healing. The Japanese art of Reiki refers to universal life-force energy, and works by tapping into the field of energy all around us, as well as the energy running through us.

People work with Reiki practitioners to help with stress reduction, energy healing, and chakra balancing. Reiki can equally be used to promote relaxation and increase energy. Whether you want to calm frazzled nerves or re-ignite your enthusiasm for life, Reiki supports spiritual wellbeing and helps you align with your intentions.

How Reiki works

Reiki is an alternative healing modality rooted in the belief that everything is energy. One of the first things to understand about Reiki is that Reiki practitioners do not "do" Reiki. Because Reiki means life force energy, Reiki exists all around us whether someone is practicing it or not. A practitioner's job is simply to channel the energy in a more concentrated and intentional way to support the body's natural healing abilities.

Reiki teaches that nothing happens by coincidence; everything first starts with an intention, which affects the vibrational field all around us.

Is Reiki right for me?

Reiki finds us when the time is right. That's true for receiving Reiki, studying Reiki, or becoming a Reiki Master who teaches Reiki to others. When the time is right, you will know.

Reiki teaches us that nothing happens by coincidence, so the fact that you are reading this right now likely means you are ready to experience Reiki in one for or another.

On the other hand, if you feel skeptical or pessimistic about Reiki, it might not be for you, or it may just not be the right time.

If you are feeling called to explore Reiki, however, trust that feeling and follow your intuition. Please feel free to DM me on Instagram with any questions, or email me through my contact page.
